A Tradition dedicated to our mission

Each September, the St. Georges’s College Old Boys’ Association, DC Chapter, hosts our annual golf tournament and food drive for families. With the help of contributions from our sponsors and generous donors, and most importantly every golfer joining us on the fairway, we are able to raise money to appropriately fund our chapter scholarships and other charitable endeavors. Additionally, we take this time to gather food donations to assist those families in the DC metropolitan area that are dealing with food insecurity.

The annual golf tournament is not only a charitable event, but a wonderful day of golf, fellowship, and camaraderie. This golf outing is a perfect opportunity for seasoned golfers to engage in competitive fun, and for those new to the sport to try their hand at 18 holes. For anyone who wishes to participate in the day but does not golf, they can spend time hanging out, playing games, and enjoying music with their fellow Georgians and other members of the Union of Jamaican Alumni Associations (UJAA) who travel to stop by and show their school pride. 

The 2025 Tournament successfully raised over $5,000 for our scholarship funds, and donated 1,200 pounds of food to the Capital Area Food Bank. We are so excited to advance these goals in years to come.
